Big Bend In Big Bend Fire Apparel
Big Bend is located in the South West portion of Texas on the border with Mexico. Nestled in the Chihuahuan Desert, Big Bend is named after the Rio Grande River's "big bend" moving northward for a portion of time. The region has a largely rugged desert terrain that includes mountains, rivers, wildlife, and the oddly ironic International Dark Sky area! (I say ironically because the sky is filled with stars) The region is perplexing and awe-inspiring to visit and presents challenges of its own but people have lived and thrived here for hundreds of years.
The communities are small in the region but that doesnt mean that they are not filled with life. Events happen almost every weekend in the spring and fall while weather is still fairly nice. The communities have a sense of pride as the care takers of the region. The beauty of the region inspires many artists in the area to create masterful pieces of art and can in itsself draw crowds to the region. Reminiscant of old western movies, the backdrop of the scenery here creates a sense of adventure, mystery, and the wild west.
This blog though isnt here to be your travel guide to the area (although I do insist you come check it out). Its here to mention the Emergency services of the big bend region and to pay respect to the ladies and gents that come here and take it upon themselves to help the communities of the region. The largest county in Texas is located here after all, and the counties surrounding it are not anything to sneeze at either.
