Inspiration Behind the Brand

Hello everyone! I am happy to announce the launch of the Big Bend Fire Apparel Brand! 

I never did think that I would be opening up a business of any type ever in my life. I was happy and content with the simple idea of running 911 calls on the box, charging in head first on a hose line, or doing paperwork for the runs. Something changed for me and had gotten my brainwaves moving. 

Being a little bit of an artist, I tend to doodle and create with no thought of other people viewing any of these creations. This doodling unintentionally became a major production for my department. The story goes that one of our guys has a nickname (as one gets while on the department) and he valued this earned name so much to find a picture of this name and use it for his profiles on just about everything fire related. I of course doodled up something closely resembling a patch and before long everyone enjoyed the patch so much that it became a department sticker, and then a shirt. This wasnt the only doodle that subsequently went into production for stickers and other items but it gave me confidence in the idea of creating something for all first responders to enjoy. 

When looking at shirts and hats, I found a surprising lack of gear that didnt just say the same old lines. I wanted something different and something created to bring some inspiration for the modern first responder. Thats where it all began.
